Gondwanaland was a super continent (one mass of continent ) that was formed some six hundred million years ago .it is believe that the present continents of africa ,asia ,north america ,south america ,india and australia ,all emerged from this one landmass.

Later at about one hundred and forty million years ago ,africa separated from south america and madagasca sepparated from india

Years later india collided with eurasia to form himalayan mountais
