Describe the formation of Nothern Plains ,... plz tell me in guys

It is formed by the river of northern parts eg ganga etc. The ganga sediments settle and formed northern plains

Northern plains are formed by the deposit bought by the three major rivers:

1)THE INDUS 

2)THE BRAHMAPUTRA

3)THE GANGA

alluminium was deposited at the foot hills of himalayas for million of years,it resulted in formation of the great northern plains.

Alluminium is soil or sediment  deposited by a river alluvium is made of fine particles like silt and clay large particles of sand and gravel.This area is rich in watre resources and for irrigation.

The northern plains are 7 lakhs s,q k.m in size 2400 km long 240 k.m  broad.The crops grown are rice,wheat etc...they are grown in rotation.

DIVISION OF NORTHERN PLAINS :

1)THE INDUS PLAIN

2)THE GANGA PLAIN 

3)THE BRAHMAPUTRA PLAIN

INDUS PLAIN:

                      The major part of the indus plain lies in pakistan,punjab,haryana etc...The main tributaries of indus are chenab,ravi,beas,sutlej.All these tributaries stsrt from the himalayas,.

THE GANGA PLAIN:

The ganga plain lies between ghagar and teesta river it extend sover haryana,delhi,west bengal,u.p,bihar,jharkhand.It flows through northern plains india into bangladesh.The 2510 km long river begins at gangotri glacier in uttarkhand in the central himalayas and drains into the bay of bengal through the sundarbans .

THE BRAHMAPUTRA:

The brahmaputra plains are fed by river brahmaputra and its tributaries .The plain mostly comprised of the flat land.The distinctive features of plain ars bhabar,terai,bhangar,khadar.

The northern plain is most populated area because of its fertile land useful for agriculture.
