Ans:  Formation of Himalayas

Explanation:

-- Himalayas are fold mountains. They were formed about 50 million years ago.

-- Fold mountains form due to continent&continent convergence.

-- Millions of years ago, when India belonged to the Indo-Australian plate, slowly due to tectonic activity, India got separated from the Indo-Australian plate and moved towards the Eurasian Plate.

-- It collided with the massive Eurasian Plate.

-- The land sediments (near collision), got piled up and gradually got uplifted as the Indian Plate moved into the Eurasian Plate.

-- Hence, this led to the formation of the Himalayas.
