Hii

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

SONAR is an acronym that means Sound Navigation And Ranging. It is primarily used by the Navy to find submarines, and submarines use them to find each other, surface ships, and for navigation. There are two types of SONAR: active and passive. Passive, or “listening” SONAR is used to determine the bearing (direction) and classification of a target. Active SONAR works by transmitting a frequency or set of frequencies through the water in order to bounce them off of a target, much like mammalian echolocation (in fact, that’s where the idea came from). By going active, a unit can determine the exact location of a contact, as well as its speed and direction. The downside is that going active is like shining a flashlight in a dark room: everyone can see you, too.
