Explanation:

The heart is the key organ in the circulatory system. As a hollow, muscular pump, its main function is to propel blood throughout the body. It usually beats from 60 to 100 times per minute, but can go much faster when necessary.

                    Function of the heart.

The heart has four chambers. The two upper chambers are called

the atria, and the two lower chambers are called the ventricles.

The partition between the chambers helps to avoid mixing up of

blood-rich in oxygen with the blood-rich in carbon dioxide.

Deoxygenated blood flows from the right ventricle of the heart to

the lungs through pulmonary artery for oxygenation and after

oxygenation back from lungs to the left atrium of the heart through

pulmonary vein.
