• Xylem is  the tissue used to transport the water and substances which is dissolved to the plant.
• The plant transports it in to roots, stems and leaves.
• Xylem used to provide the mechanical support and storage.

It is mostly seen in water flowering plants. Rigidity to cell wall was provided by this component.

It is the living cells of the xylem. Functions like secretion and storage was done by this component.

• Xylem Fibers

It is the midway between the xylem parenchyma and tracheids. Lot of support to the plants was provided by this component.
