1. The title : Title of the table  must be well defined as each title which is given to the table should have explaining power in the title itself.
2. The head box : The  captions  which are given to the column of the data   must have   first letter in capital and other letters in lowercase.
3. The stub :  The headings which are given to the row of  table is called stub .
4. The body : The part that contains the main information like numerical information with  which  the question is to be  called as  body of statistical table.
5. Prefatory notes : Statement which is given below the title and  defines the units of measurement is known as prefatory notes.
6. Foot notes : The foot notes mainly appears under the body which shows additional information.

Every table should have a suitable title. It should be short & clear. Title should be such that one can know the nature of the data contained in the table as well as where and when such data were collected. It is either placed just below the table number or at its right
