The heart is a pump, which moves the blood. The arteries and veins are the pipes through which the blood flows. The lungs provide a place to exchange carbon dioxide for oxygen. The heartis a hollow, muscular organ, which functions as a pump for the movement of blood through the body.

The fuction of heart is to pump blood to all the cells of the body. It has 4 chambers right auricle right ventricle and left auricle and left vemtrical. The right atrium receives oxygen-poor blood from the body and pumps it to the right ventricle. The right ventricle pumps the oxygen-poor blood to the lungs. The left atrium receives oxygen-rich blood from the lungs and pumps it to the left ventricle.
This all happens rhytmatically and continuously.
