stamen-the little stalks with swollen tops around the centre of the flower are known as stamens.These are the male parts of the flower.Each stamen consists of a thin green stalk called filament with bag-like top or the swollen tip,called anther.Pollen grains-If you press the anthers with your fingers,you can see dust like particles called pollen grains.the anther carries several pollen grains.These pollen grains help in pollination or reproduction.Ovary-ovary is the broader portion that is present at the bottom of the pistol.The ovary contains female sex cells having little ball-like structures called ovules.Stigma-stigma is present at the top.It is the female part of the flower.
