Describe the geographical condition for the growth of rice?


ManavSenguptaDPS: the geographical condition for growth of rice is mainly high water amount and hot weather( which is normally during june-september in india)

Geographical condition required for the growth of rice are:-

1) Temperature:-It is a kharif which requires high temperature of about 25 degree Celsius or above with minor irrigation during the sowing, growth and harvesting season is suitable for the growth of the plant.

2)Rainfall:- Rice needs abusnslant rainfall, I.e more than 100cm. It can grow in areas with less rainfall, but with assured irrigation. Rice is grown in Punjab And Haryana

3) soil:- Rice can be grow in variety of soil including salt and gravel, but it is grown best in alluvial soil with a subsoil of impervious Day.
