Rice is a kharif crop and it is staple crop of India.

The geographical conditions required for growth of Rice are as follows:

1. Temperature should between 14- 18 degree Celsius and rainfall should be 50cm - 100cm.

2. Fertile alluvial soil or mixed soil is ideal for wheat cultivation.

3. Plain land or gentle slopes is ideal for wheat cultivation.

apart from all these plenty of labor. along with fertilizers , irrigation facilities are needs.

wheat cultivation depends on climate than soil. In India it is grown in winter.
