The grandfather could be said as brave but a reckless person. He wanted attention and wanted to impress the gathering in his area.

• The grandfather wanted to amaze the public. To do so,  he went to the and purchased the snake from a snake charmer.
• The python curled around his neck and he started roaming in the streets. As a result the gathering indeed got impressed on seeing the snake slinging on his shoulders.
