A greenhouse is a building made of glass that traps heat from the sun during the day and keeps its inside warm, even at night.

The earth does something similar. The Ozone in our atmosphere traps heat during the day, and prevents the Earth from becoming too cold at night. This is called the Greenhouse effect.

Plants are covered by glass or plastic sheets these sheets of glass or plastic lets enter the rays of sun into it but it doesn't let long wavelength of heat to go out that's why the plants have more heat to grow in a green house but itbis also dangerous because it caught all the maximum heat on earth and results in global warming.
