- The kids stay outside the tool shed for a little while, and the secret child can hear their hushed voices muttering.
- He further hides in his blindness ensuring that other kids do not know that his whereabouts were so close.
- The kids finally decide to leave the spot and the hidden kid considers himself as very clever.
- Soon he realizes, that the kids are no longer looking for him and he was left there all alone cold and stiff.
