Describe the historical and sociolinguistics reason for the dissemination of english in the british isle.

The modern English of this era has become popular and known because of the reasons discussed below:

1)  Before 50 BC, English and Romans invaded and hence English and Latin got mixed and words were shifted from one language to another.

2) Further, German and English mixed as people moved from one country to other due to various reasons. Later, french language and English language mixed.

Since England was powerful in Medieval times and English moved widely to expand their kingdoms, English language adopted words of other languages and English became popular in the colonies.
