Adrenal Medulla secretes two hormones:

  • Adrenaline
  • Noradrenaline

It is also called glands of emergency because It helps in situations of fear, terror, fright etc. It increases the blood pressure to provide blood to muscles, increases breating rate to provide oxygen, increases flow of blood to limbs and other important muscles to show quick response to the stimuli. It is very important in emergency situations and also protects many organs like heart during emergency.
