Abraham Lincoln, one of the greatest practitioners of democracy had said this system of governance was for the people, by the people and of the people. It is, therefore, quite natural that popular struggles and mass mobilisation has a huge impact on democracy. In India, we've seen the positive effects of the popular movements led by Mahatma Gandhi, Jayaprakash Narayan and Anna Hazare; the entire political class of the day stood up, took notice and brought in improvements in their methods of governance. In fact, India gained its independence through a long-drawn popular struggle.
In Eastern Europe and in the Middle East, democracy was ushered in by replacing despotic rulers who had indulged in exploiting their people by ruling with iron hands.

due to the mass mobilization into the country it becomes difficult to control the increasing population. Providing them with home and shelter and necessary life spending things is a tough job for the government. Some people might not support this mass mobilization and its government responsibility to calm them down. Government than have to raise the jobs for them, otherwise they would involve in the crimes and situations get worse. So with mass mobilization the duty of democrats get tough
