Answer: rinderpest was a cattle plague which spread in Africa due to the meat which came from Europe in order to feed the soldiers. It spread like a forest fire in the west and killed upto 90 percent of the cattle in Africa . This created a great problem as it was an important resource for them . As a result they were forced to work for wages and were transformed into slaves.
