describe the importance of political parties in a democratic government​

The political parties are necessary beacuse of the following reasons:- 1.) Large societies need representative democracy . As societies become large and complex , they also need some agency to gather different views on various issues and to present in front of the government. 2.) They need some ways to bring various representatives together so that a responsible government could be formed. 3.) They needed a mechanism to support or restrain the government , make policies, justify or oppose them. 4.) If political parties will not be there, every candidate in the elections will be independent.And so, no one will be able to make promises about major policies.This will also create confusion among the voters. 5.) Thus,Political parties fulfill the need that every representative government has.
