There were two main characteristic feature of Mughal administration:-
✴Broader sense all the Mansabdars were subordinated to the king .That means in an expedition a Mansabdar of lower rank had to obey the Mansabdar of higher rank in the matters of war.
✴The Mughal Mansabdars were known by the number of-Zat and Sawar.

✔The towns were administered by Kotwalas who maintained law and order, checked weights and measures, and kept a record of people living in the area.
✔Infantry, cavalry, war elephants and artillery were present in Mughal army.
