Anne Frank’s diary plays a very important role in her life. When her family is forced to go into hiding, the diary acts as a sense of relief to Anne Frank. It becomes her friend in difficult journey of her life.
Not only she writes about what’s happening around her but she shares with it her deepest thoughts and secrets. It makes her understand herself better. The diary also acts as a growing woman companion. It helps her acknowledge about changes in her body. A time when she is forced to be alone and is not able to talk to her family, it acts as a close friend.
The diary is with her during her emotional and mental trauma. It’s with her when she finds love and when she has no one to look up to. The diary becomes not just a part of her life but it becomes a part of Anne Frank herself.

Anne Frank’s Diary holds a great significant. Her diary, which was written letters to Kitty and recorded by her, has sequences and events and details from her hiding from the Nazi regime in Netherlands. This was also during World War 2 which is an important event in history.
Anne recorded every little detail and emotion in her diary that exemplified her feelings and emotions and the fear of being caught and sent to concentration camp to die.
Anne and her family were in hiding in Amsterdam and the diary has detailed information about the house they lived in, the discussions they had and how Nazi Regime was using their power to eliminate the Jewish people.
Her Diary was something that was accounted by her, everything in it was through her pen and things happening around her and the current situation, none of it was made up. If you know about the Holocaust, then you know how cruel and barbaric it was and to witness that through a young girl’s diary is something you don’t get to see often.
Her diary is a constant reminder that never again should something like this should pass our understanding and us not doing anything about it.
