British past and you love name the sedition act of 1870 and the Rowlatt Act of 1919 this act allowed the British government to arrest any person without due trial . meetings and assemblies were banned according to this law , Dr. Satyapal & Dr. kitchlew were arrested under this act .

To protest against this arrest thousands of India ,

congregated at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar on Baisakhi day on April 13, 1919 . where General Dyer open firing on innocent people and even children were killed during this incident. he had he had blocked the only exist to the park so that they can't escape from the Jallianwala Bagh . To protect their lives, many Indians jump into the well that is in that park . After this incident , General Dyer was sent back to the Britain .

ON THAT DAY , A CROWD OF VILLAGERS COME TO AMRITSAR TO ATTEND FAIR .

BEING FROM OUTSIDE THEY DON'T KNOW THAT MARTIAL LAW HAD BEEN IMPOSED.

GENERAL DYER ENTERED THE AREA AND BLOCKED ALL THE EXIT POINTS.

HE OPENED FIRE ON THE CROWD , KILLING AND WOUNDING THE PEOPLES .

HIS OBJECTIVE WAS TO PRODUCE A MORAL EFFECT TO CREATE A FEELING OF TERROR.
