Describe the incident leading to the shooting of the elephant​

This piece of work had been written by George Orwell.

Here a number of situations have been put forward in after the other, while the author was in Myanmar and these situations had ultimately led to the situation when he had to shoot the elephant. It was getting very difficult to control the elephant.

His only  concern was to keep everybody at safety and he could not take any chance for the elephant to get adamant.

It is not that, he wanted to shoot the elephant, but at that point of time, he could think of nothing else, but shooting as the only preferred option.

It seemed to be a small incident, but actually it was very significant.
