Describe the incident that made the grand mother decide to learn kannada alphabet and language l,how did she succeed in her endeavour?

As usual the episode came and grandmother wanted to know the story  but Sudha was not in the village ,she went to attend a weeding.Grandmother was not able to read.She touched the letters and pictures thinking that if her fingers could understand something.She decided that she would learn the Kannada alphabets and kept Dusshera as the deadline.Sudha taught her.
