The main reason for the French Revolution is the attack of the Third Estate on the Bastille state prison on 14th of July 1789.

Bastille was considered as a symbol of autocracy and tyranny. An angry mob asked them to release the prisoners peacefully but when it was turned down they attacked Bastille.

Apart from that, industrial revolution is also related with the French revolution.
