there where various reasons which led to revolution in French society.
the reasons are listed below. These reasons can also be termed as the intermediate cause of the French Revolution which directly led to the people to revolt against the king, the nobles and the clergy.
the king of France was pending a huge of amount of money in order to help to liberate the 13 American colonies from the British possessions.
this resulted in a huge loan on the kings.
so, the king decided to increase the taxation. so, to increase the taxes he called the estate general meetings in which he had to get the consent of all the three states to increase the taxes.
this time also the kings followed the same policy of one estate one vote instead of one man one vote.
This made the people of third estate Furious and the people of third estate who represented in the estate General Meeting left the hall and this crowd made the national assembly, which in 1791 drafted the constitution and removed the king.
this can also be considered as one of the intermediate causes of the French Revolution.
due to the despotic rule of king the people demolished the bastille prison which stood for the despotic and unbeatable power of the French king.
