Non-Governmental Organisations are the private organisations that work for the welfare of the people. 

They target different social groups in the society, out of which youth is an important one. NGOs are involved in youth led programmes that empower the youth to design, implement and evaluate the youth led programmes. 

The purpose of this is to improve the social, political and economic standing of the youth. Youth development programmes include; 

(i) Career Guidelines. 

(ii) Job Opportunities. 

(iii) Monetary aid for startups. 

(iv) Trainings for entrepreneurs.
