in the early stage the river is young.it flows from mountain forming 'I' shaped and 'V' shaped valley.as it enters into plains,it comes to the age of maturity. it's volume increases and Speed slows down forming meanders.it then comes to old stage before meeting the sea.there it deposit silts, sediment and sands and form delta.
