About jurisdiction of High Court, Article 225 provides that subject to the provision of this Constitution and to the provisions of any law of the appropriate legislature by this Constitution, the jurisdiction of, and the law administered in any existing High Court, and the respective powers of the judges thereof in relation to the administration of thj justice in the Court, including any power to make rules of court andt regulate the sittings of the court and of members thereof sitting alone or in Division Court, shall be the same as immediately before the commencement of this Constitution.

The jurisdiction of the High Courts may be divided in to The following parts.

(1 ) Writ jurisdiction

(2) Original jurisdiction

(3) Appellate jurisdiction (a) Civil matters (b) Criminal cases (c) Revenue matters

(4) Revisional jurisdiction.
