Describe the kind of a woman in the poem

In this poem, she describes a woman who is ragged, alone and maybe someone who likes to be left alone but that is the aura she gives off. In reality, she craves for some kindness and when the little boy helped her cross the road with a lively smile, she prayed for him at night blessing him and asking to keep him safe.
