Flood plains, levees, distributaries and deltas are the various landforms formed by a river in the plain.

1.Flood plain is a at land adjacent to a river that experiences ooding periodically. After the ood the river leaves behind a fresh layer of top soil which is very fertile.

2.A levee is a natural or articial slope, embankment or wall to regulate water levels.

3. Delta is a landform which is formed at the mouth of the river where the slope of the river bed becomes too shallow.
