There are two legends that are associated with the origin of tea. The first one is about a Chinese emperor who used to drink boiled water. Answer:

I know only two legends about tea.

The 1st one is that in our India a great man named Bodhidharma was living before many decades before. During the time of his meditation he had felt asleep. So during that time he decided to cut his eyelids and from his eyelids a plant had grown and that is what we call as tea plant. When we drink tea it would give us a new energy to do works and it would destroy our desires to sleep.

The 2nd one is that tea hade born in China at first. There was Chinese emperor who only drink water after boiling it. One day when water is getting boiled in the furnace which is kept in the open place some leaves had flown and fell into the pot. And suddenly the colour of the  water. The maid had become very worried but the king actually like that new taste. And that is what now we called as tea.

Mate , I only know these two legends correctly but I had heard that more than these two others was also there.. Any way hope it helps you...♥
