  • The president can summon, proruge and address the two Houses of the parliament.
  • Every year, the first session of the parliament begins with her/his address.
  • She/He can dissolve the Lok Sabha before the expiry of it's normal term if She/he is advised to do so by the prime minister.
  • He can nominate twelve members of Rajya Sabha.
