Indus Valley Civilisation occupied northwestern part of India. Their life was mostly dependent on cultivation of wheat, Barley and Cotton. There dress consisted of loin cloth for men, wrap skirts and shoulder shoals for women, sandals made of cloth and wood and clothes made of cotton and woollen yarn. Popular ornament was a hammered gold that would have been worn around the forehead. The other ornaments include bangles, chokers, long pendant necklaces, rings, earrings, conical hair ornaments, and broaches.
