Hi!
The lymphatic system is the part of the circulatory system and also the immune system. It comprises of a network of lymphatic vessels that carries fluid known as lymph, which also means water.
Functions:
- It is responsible for the removal of fluid from tissues.
- It absorbs the fatty acids.
- Also, it transports the fatty acids from the digestive system.
- It transports white blood cells into the bones.
Production:
In the circulatory system, blood flows from the heart and reaches capillaries to surround the cells. After this, a portion of plasma formed known as tissue fluid which is a very important component for any animal. Some of the tissue floods then returns the blood to capillaries by osmosis and some tissue flood also diverted into a second network known as lymph, which is a clear and colorless sticky liquid.
