-Osmosis is the movement of a solvent across a semipermeable membrane toward a higher concentration to the lower concentration.
-It is of 2 types-- Endoosmosis and Exosmosis.
- Importance- Osmosis is important for the cells as helps in the movement of important materials inside and out of the cell. The nutrients, water and other solutes move in and out of the cell by the process of osmosis only.
