Describe the magnetic field around a solenoid by mentioning its pole formation

The pattern of the field is similar tomagnetic field around a bar magnet. One end of the solenoid behaves as amagnetic north pole, while the other behaves as the south pole. The fieldlines inside the solenoid are in the form of parallel straight lines.
