I would say its down to human competitive nature, lost of rational logically reasoning to create dogmas by the powerful ones and incorrect education that mass followed in their upbringing to create inequality. The demand of material or emotional(pride, ego, lust etc) assets over others also play a part. Its part of civilization which most adopt capitalism to reward the stronger ones to get supremacy status over others to improve and work for a better future, we had failed to add in the humanity factors that caused discrimination. Despite all the activist fight for this century on race, religion, sex, income as the main topic, we still far from touching on the topic of human inequality based on which location any child is born. A black child born in US and Africa chance to get the minimum requirements to grow is still so drastically wide. Inequalities will only be more widely defined as common public are more knowledge. Ask the Sentinelese living on the island or those in North Korea and we will know that despite the kind of injustice they might/already be exposed to, it's not really inequality if they happily accept the treatment. Only when public acknowledged any lacking of the '10 things money can't buy'(respect, common sense etc) that will make them feel sad and stand up, then there is inequality.
