a. Bhabhar: It is a narrow belt which lies parallel to Shiwaliks.  

b. Terai lands are mostly found in hilly area and it is located at bottom region of mountain. It is a type of marshy land.

c. Khadar: It is a new form of alluvial soil and it has fewer amounts of impurities. It is a fertile soil.

d. Bhangar: It is an old form of alluvial soil and it is a slightly elevated land. This type of soil has high amount of impurities like stones. It is infertile soil
