In December 1929 under the presidency of Jawaharlal Nehru the labour congress declared the attainment of Poorna Swaraj,or complete independence.The congress also decided to launch a civil disobedience movement under the leadership of Ghandiji.He started civil disobedience movement which is known as salt March.

it was declared that 26 jan 1930 would be celebrated as Independence day when people were taking pledge to struggle for complete Independence
