The Main Features Of The Constitution Of 1791

1. According to the New Constitution adopted by the National Assembly, the monarch was placed under the government's authority, and France became a Constitutional Monarchy.
2. The feudal system was abolished.
3. The nobility and clergy were stripped of their privileges.
4. Only men over the age of 25 who paid taxes equal to at least three days' labourer's wage were granted the right to vote. It indicates that they were involved citizens, and all of the remaining men and women were labelled as passive citizens.
