The four main features of Ganga river are:
1)It is formed by two rivers: the Bhagirathi which rises from Gangotri glacier and the Alaknanda river rising from Alkapuri glacier.
2)It forms the largest river basin in India.
3)It forms large meanders,flood plains and ox-bow lakes.
4)It has tremendous potential to generate hydroelectricity and irrigate lands
