Describe the main features of the 'Salt March'.

In 1930, The salt march started on 11th March by Gandhiji and his followers. They reached dandi on 6th April and broke the salt law of the Britishers. They walked 240 miles and on the sea coast of dandi they manufactured the salt.

this march is to take away the salt tax from the Britishers.This was broken by Gandhiji in dandi.This march was about 240 miles for 24 days covering 10 miles for each day from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi.Women actively came out of their house to listen to this march.
