2. Kanti Thermal Power Station.

• At present, the Bihar state is having the required amount of electricity supply from the Barauni Power Plant which produces about 720 megawatts electricity with the help of coal power and also from the Kanti Power Station.

• With these two power plants, almost 53 percent of the villages in Bihar is having electricity supply.

• During the partition of Jharkhand from Bihar, all the electricity generation power plants of Bihar came into the territory of Jharkhand along with several minefields.

• Due to this, the electricity production and supply for Bihar state has reduced a lot.
