describe the main stage of the lewater cycle
Answers
There are four main stages in the water cycle. They are evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection. Let's look at each of these stages. Evaporation: This is when warmth from the sun causes water from oceans, lakes, streams, ice and soils to rise into the air and turn into water vapour (gas).
There are five main stages of water cycle which are as follows
1. Evaporation - this is when warmth from the sun cause water from the ocean , lakes , streams ,ice and soil to rise into the air and turn into water vapour. Water vapours droplets join together to form a cloud.
2. Transpiration - It is the process in which plant absorb water through the roots and then let off water vapour through spores in the leaves.
3. Condensation - It is the process where water vapour becomes liquid. It is the reverse of evaporation where liquid water becomes water vapour.
4. Precipitation - This is when water in the form of rain , snow ,hail or sleet falls from cloud in the sky.
5. Collection - This is when water that falls from the cloud as rain , hail ,snow or sleet collect in the river, ocean ,sea, stream etc. Most will soak into the ground and will collect as underground water which gets stores untill it starts to flood.
