There are four main stages in thewater cycle. They are evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection.

Evaporation -the sun heats up water and it changes into vapour. 2 condensation - the vapour condenses or cools down to from clouds 3- precipitation - the condensed clouds becomes heavy and precipatates
Collection the water from the rain gets mixed into rivers lakes and oceans
