the ancient cities of india have always been a been of great archaeological importance to every historian thinking of doing something great and wonderful throughout his life. today.. this description of the city of the mound of the dead or kalibagaN will surely take you to one of the beautiful auras of the ancient CITIES OF INDIA.
THE HISTORY OF the indus valley civillization dates back to probably more than 4000 years ago and till today..it stays as one of the most talked civillizations of vthe world .
born in probably two thousand b.c. kailbagan..now situaded ion present Punjab.. had been one of the famous cities of those times ..
needless to say..all the known feautures of the indus valley have been found there in full pace.. alongwith all signs of a civilized society..
the marvels of kalibagan..I would like to discuss in detail..
ART OF CARVING AND METTALURGY
many seals depicting hundreds of figures and thoughts have been found at most sites of this city..
the amount loading up to 2000+ .. it included humped bull.. buffalo.. elephants.. rhinoceroses .. cows..goats etc.carved upon leather ,,wood.. ivory.. metal.. terracotta etc.
the various statues and other items found at kalibagan are indeed remarkable and ahead of their time. painting..pottery and other arts were thoughroughly famous.
TOWN PLANNING AND DRAINAGE ETC.
they mostly build onew or two storeyed houses with roads cutting at right angles and laid in such a way that winds clean them ujp automatically ...the civic organization system was excellent with feautures of street lighting ..guarding and other facilities.. it had adequate and good water supply too..thereafter it has been rightly said that good civic organization..adequate town planning were their monumental achievements..
