Veld is a wide open rural landscape in the Southern Africa.The climate here is dry and hot throughout the whole year.That's why it is more or less a barren land with a small amount of scrub and low height grass vegetation.

But different valuable minerals can be found in this region , such as , diamond,gold,iron,coal etc.

That's why this place is economically important in the South Africa.
