A Vietnamese girl sitting in one of the front seat was asked to move to the back of the class and allow a local French student to come to the first bench. She refused, so the principal of the school (a French) expelled her. When the students became angry and protested, they too were expelled. Seeing the situation getting out of control, the government forced the school to take the students back to which the principal reluctantly agreed.
There are some reasons enlisted here
1. The navtive student was forced to move back for a migrant.
2. The French principal did expell for such a reason.
3. As French locals were given first considering the students were angry.
4. Vietnamese had a thought of getting first consideration in their native
5. Also this may be the reason for uprooting the rule of French
Obviously the protest was justified.
