The making of Indian society in post-independence period:

Post Independence refers to the period after August 15, 1947. The main problems that India faced after Independence was unmanageable population, political corruption, inequitable distribution of wealth, religious and caste issues.

Education was a very much needed factor in India post Independence and hence government of India made many educational institutions including AIIMS, IIT, NIT, Govt run colleges and schools so as to make education easily accessible.

Constitution of India came to existence in 1950 framing fundamental political code, structure, procedures, powers, and duties of government institutions and sets out fundamental rights, directive principles, and the duties of citizens.
